Ghosts in the Sea #02

To create her collections, Marine Vinet draws from inspiration boards and the stories that she writes. Each piece evokes the different emotions experienced by its creator.

In creating the Ghosts in the Sea collection, the artist calls to mind bygone stories of a boat adrift at sea. It is a memory faded by the ocean, recollections buried in the rocky seabed.

This triple chain necklace was entirely created, dyed, and hand-embroidered at the Stories in the Fog studio.

For the embroidery, the young creator meticulously chose the position of each stitch based on the effect it would create. The artist assimilates the aesthetics of her creations into her universe to evoke the distinct imaginary world of each unique piece.
